A person associated with the Northern Lehigh High School varsity soccer team has tested positive for COVID-19.

Superintendent Matthew J. Link said that the district learned of the positive case on Tuesday.

“We sent out a letter to the high school because it was someone associated with our varsity soccer team,” Link said. “We notified high school employees, parents and guardians of high school students.”

Link said the person is not a student, teacher, or support staff, and was not in any of the district’s buildings.

“We’re fully functioning and going as planned,” he said. “We hope the person recovers fully and quickly.”
