A man was struck by multiple vehicles while walking in and out of traffic along the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lehigh County early Thursday morning.
Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville said at 4:20 a.m. Thursday troopers from the King of Prussia barracks were dispatched to the report of an unknown white man, about 5-foot-10, weighing about 190-200 pounds, walking in and out of traffic on the Northeast Extension northbound in Lower Milford Township.
Upon arrival, the man was struck by multiple vehicles in the right lane of travel and died at the scene.
Assisting at the scene of the crash were Troop T - King of Prussia; Troop T - Pocono; Troop M Forensic Services Unit; Fogelsville Criminal Investigation Unit and Fogelsville Patrol Unit.
All traffic on the Northeast Extension was detoured onto the Quakertown exit.
