A hearing on a proposed tire recycling facility at the former Prince Manufacturing facility in Bowmanstown will resume.

The borough’s zoning hearing board will reconvene at 7 p.m. Wednesday to hear the proposal from Aleph Industries Inc.

The company is seeking an appeal from the determination of the zoning officer; a challenge to the validity of the zoning ordinance; a special exception; and a variance to several sections of the zoning ordinance.

The property where the tire recycling plant is proposed for is located at 700 Lehigh St.

A hearing on the matter was initially conducted on Sept. 16, at which time it was decided that the matter be continued.
