State police at Lehighton are investigating a crash that occurred this morning in Towamensing Township. The crash occurred just after 8 a.m. along Route 209 at Hazlewood Road. The operator of the tractor-trailer reports he was traveling south on Route 209 attempting to get back to the turnpike. He stated his GPS system told him to make the left turn onto Hazlewood instead of just traveling south on Route 209 straight to the turnpike. The driver of the rig was not injured in the incident.
