A man escaped injury Monday afternoon when he lost control of his car on a snow covered Route 443 in West Penn Township.

The man was driving east when his car slid across the roadway, hitting a utility pole along the north berm.

The car slid down an embankment into a field. West Penn Township Police officer Brent Getz is investigating the incident.
