A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), after fleeing a crash scene and later being stopped.

State police at Frackville said Bryan D. McGinley, 29, of Ashland, was operating a 1997 Chrysler along the Morea Road in West Mahanoy Township, about 8:35 a.m. on Aug. 4 when he failed to negotiate a left curve. The car left the road and went onto a sidewalk where it struck a rock wall.McGinley then fled the scene, troopers said, but was later stopped by Ashland borough police. Troopers said he is facing the DUI count plus various motor vehicle code violations.
