State police at Lehighton reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests.
Troopers said about 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 11 Zbigniew Gorski, 42, of Emmaus, was stopped along Canal Street, at Bridge Street, in Franklin Township, Carbon County. Troopers said it was determined he was driving while impaired. The DUI charge is pending blood test results, troopers added.About 12:20 a.m. on Aug. 12 troopers stopped Howard Wolfe, 55, of Saylorsburg, at the intersection of state routes 248 and 209, in Franklin Township, for several vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the Lehighton hospital for a blood test. The DUI is pending the test results.
