Pleasant Valley School Board Director Teresa Greggo, chairwoman of the athletic committee, welcomed the St. Luke’s athletic trainers and performance coach to the Pleasant Valley Sports Programs in her committee report.
“We are wishing everyone a safe and healthy fall sports program, following the completion of the many weeks of preparation and back to play strategies,” she said.
“Due to a very generous donation from Brittany Angelica and sponsorship money from St. Luke’s, the PV athletic department is pleased to announce that we will be installing a new scoreboard for our baseball team. Thank you to everyone that helped make this possible.”
The trainers include: Jerome “Jerry” Dancho, 10 years of experience; Tara Nagy, eight years; Phil Lee, six years; Deryck “DJ” Snyder, five years; Erika Trout, two years; and performance coach Tibor Bodi, five years.
Greggo also gave a special thank you to Tom Toth in the district’s Athletic Department, St. Luke’s University Health Network, and all the coaches and student athletes, for the planning and implementation of the reopening safety sport guidelines.
Pleasant Valley School District announced the following personnel matters:
• Activity club advisers are Holli Capricuso-Register, Dance Club, PVHS, $1,625; Susan McDermott, musical set painter, PVHS, $700; and Suzanne Hunsicker, Student Government, PVHS, $1,625.
• Stefanie Santiago, a Spanish teacher at PVMS, sabbatical leave for the second semester of the school year.
