A group of demonstrators supporting the Black Lives Matter movement returned to Palmerton Park on Friday night, along with a group of counterprotesters supporting police. Instead of protesting in large groups as they did on July 18, protesters on both sides conversed directly while standing along Delaware Avenue. The debate was mostly civil but occasionally became heated. Palmerton Police were nearby throughout the demonstrations. CHRIS REBER/TIMES NEWS
