State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between Sept. 29 and Oct. 20 in Barry Township.

Police said someone burglarized the Barry Elementary School, 1091 Deep Creek Road, by possibly prying open a rear door to the building.Once inside the unknown actor(s) removed various amounts and types of scrap steel and copper piping, valued at approximately $12,000.Police said the burglar(s) also smashed three sinks, two urinals and a water fountain, all of which are porcelain, before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction with the steel and copper.Police have identified the victim as Morgan Yarnell, 27, of Ashland.
