The West Penn Township Lions continue to make donations to assist the community and nonprofit organizations affected by the pandemic.

The Lions purchased 150 dozen of eggs from the Nesting Box in Kempton. The eggs were supplied by the Wind Crest Farm in Berks County. The Lions donated the eggs to the American Primitive Methodist Church in Tamaqua for their food pantry.

The Lions donated $100 to the Hillside SPCA Inc. in Pottsville to assist with ongoing expenses as they keep their doors open to animals in need of a home, nourishment, veterinary care and love.

Red Creek Wildlife Center Inc. in Schuylkill Haven received a $100 donation from the West Penn Lions Club to help provide assistance to wildlife in need. Red Creek Wildlife Center relies solely on donations to meet the needs of more than 3,000 animals a year.
