State police at Hazleton report

State police at Hazleton reported investigating the following incidents:

Crashes

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 12:17 p.m. on May 13 along Route 93 in Packer Township. Troopers said Larenzo J. Aybar, 23, of Lehighton, was driving a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder southbound when he lost control. The vehicle went onto the berm and struck a pole. Aybar refused medical treatment. The vehicle had to be towed. The roadway was shut down for about four hours due to the crash, troopers said.

Aybar was cited for the crash.

• A hit-and-run crash was reported at 10:20 a.m. on May 13 along Quakake Road in Packer Township. A vehicle was driven eastbound when it left the road and struck a mailbox and flagpole. After impact the driver continued eastbound and left the scene.

Violation

State police at Hazleton reported investigating a dog law violation on May 23 at 8:44 p.m.

Troopers responded to Oak Hill Road in Packer Township, Carbon County, for a report of the violation. On scene troopers found that a 57-year-old woman’s dog was off its leash and was in the yard of the victim. The woman, a Weatherly resident, was cited for failing to control her dog.
