Packer Township supervisors extended the state of emergency for the township to July 20. Supervisors met for their regular monthly meeting, using Zoom, on May 5 for a short session.
Secretary-Treasurer Stephanie Stolpe coordinated the Zoom.
For paving a deteriorating stretch of Wetzel Run Drive, it was agreed to advertise for bids. Depending on price, the paving will be on as much as 0.75 of a mile and completed this paving season. If the bids come in high, the length of the paving will be cut back.
Bills of $5,131 were approved to be paid.
The updated zoning ordinances and land development ordinance will be sent to the Carbon County and township planning commissions for their review and any recommendations.
The next Packer supervisors meeting is at 6 p.m. June 1, moved ahead one day due to the primary election on June 2.
