On May 14, Ametek Chemical Products Division, located in Nesquehoning, presented a $5,000 check to the Nesquehoning Hose Company No. 1.
The fire company has provided emergency services to the Nesquehoning community for more than 100 years, and Ametek greatly appreciates the hard work and dedication of its many volunteers.Ametek is pleased its donation will be used for additional repairs to the fire company's 2002 KME engine, which is the primary response unit for fires at manufacturing, production and other large facilities in the community.Previous Ametek donations have been used for truck body repairs and loan payments for the purchase of a new aerial truck.The Ametek Foundation has served since 1960 as the principal funding entity for the charitable contributions of Ametek Inc.The foundation, which supports a wide range of programs and initiatives in communities in which Ametek operates, places a special emphasis on programs that support education, health, welfare, civic and social needs.
