Jim Thorpe Council approved the following actions at this week's Council meeting:

• A resolution allowing the public works department to apply for grant money from the Monroe County gaming funds• A Veteran's Day parade to be hosted by the American Legion Post #304 at 2 p.m. Nov. 8.• Payment of $7,614 for the balance of the High Street step project.• A storm sewer pipe replacement on Main Street by Paul Yaich's property. The replacement will cost $10,146.• One borough manager candidate has been interviewed and three more interviews are scheduled.- Jarrad Hedes
