Car parts stolen from vehicles in NL area

Car parts were stolen from vehicles in the Northern Lehigh area.

One of the thefts occurred in Slatington, while the other took place in neighboring Washington Township.

Bethlehem State Police said the incident occurred sometime between 9 a.m. Saturday and 4:18 p.m. Sunday in the 3400 block of Franklin Street in Washington Township when someone cut the catalytic converter from beneath a 2004 Honda Element owned by an Emerald resident. The person then fled in an unknown direction.

Slatington police Chief David Rachman that a catalytic converter was stolen off a 1999 Honda Accord in a parking lot at 425 Kuntz St. (George Dillard Manor) sometime between Saturday and Sunday.
