Quilt guild to hold Oct. meeting

Cranberry Quilt Guild meets Monday at Faith United Church of Christ off Airport Beltway, Hazle Township, with doors opening and light refreshments at 6 p.m.

The program for the evening will be “Hue,” an approach to this aspect of choosing color for a quilted project.

The evening will see a new-this-year concept of “I’ll buy that,” where members offer their quilting supplies and fabrics to other members to add to their “stash.”

This has been well received and allows for items of good quality to be shared at nominal cost with other members.

An “INKTENSE” workshop will be held in November, and members are reminded to bring in the payment for supplies. More details will be available at the meeting.

A quilt show was held in September. The Peoples’ Choice awards went to Marie Shulenski, first place for “Save the Bees”; Debbie Kashi, second place for “Barnyard Animals”; and Liz Doris, third place for modern “Log Cabin.”

Members are reminded to bring in any supplies for donation to the Shine project prior to the end of the year. Please add your name to the donation list if you do so.

Membership dues will begin to be collected for the 2027 season at the October and November meetings. New members are always welcomed.

Fat quarter raffle color for October is fall colors.
