The Carbon County Area Vocational-Technical School Operating Committee met on Thursday night and decided its business manager will serve as acting director of the school while the current director takes a sabbatical before retiring.

Lyle Augustine Jr. was approved by the committee’s 3-1 vote, and will take over next year when director George Seiler begins his leave. His sabbatical will run from February 1995 to February 1996.

Once Augustine’s term as acting director is over, the committee must advertise for a full-time director.

Voting in favor of Augustine were Marie Kutza, Mark Steber and Thomas Schmidt, with John Gunsser opposed.
