Motorcyclist, 20, dies after crash in Allen Twp.

A 20-year-old Whitehall Township man died after a three-vehicle crash that involved the motorcycle he was driving at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Weaversville and Atlas roads, Allen Township.

State police at the Bethlehem barracks said he was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem, where he was pronounced dead.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio later identified the man as Jayden J. Sanchez.

Police said the crash occurred when he was operating a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6 south on Weaversville Road, while a 2015 Acura TLX, operated by a 16-year-old boy, and a 2026 Honda CRV, operated by a 55-year-old man from Whitehall, were both traveling north on Weaversville Road. Police did not provide any further details of the crash, or the names and addresses of the drivers.

They said during that the investigation, detours were located at Nor Bath Boulevard and Weaversville Road and also Weaversville Road and Walnut Street in East Allen Township. The roads were reopened at approximately 11:50 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the Bethlehem Patrol Unit, which is being assisted by a Troop M Collision Analysis Reconstruction Specialist Unit, Troop M Forensic Services Unit, PennDOT, Allen Township Fire Department, East Allen Township Fire Department, Northampton Fire Department and Northampton Regional EMS.
