CCEDC, St. Luke’s to hold ‘Wellness Matters’ community series
The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation, partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, will continue its “Wellness Matters: A Community Series” in partnership with St. Luke’s University Health Network on Monday from 4-6 p.m., with a program focused on exercise, nutrition and recreational wellness.
Designed to make health and wellness information approachable and accessible, the free community series connects residents with local professionals, organizations and resources that can help support healthier lifestyles.
Monday’s program will explore the many ways movement, nutrition and recreation contribute to overall well-being, while giving attendees an opportunity to connect directly with local wellness resources and participating vendors — Sirona Family Healthcare, Alchemy Lounge, United Way Age-Friendly Lehigh Valley, Carbon County Area Agency on Aging and RUNegades/Jim Thorpe Running Festival.
“Wellness and quality of life go hand-in-hand, and both are important pieces of what makes a community strong,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, senior vice president of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. “Through this partnership with St. Luke’s we’re able to bring resources directly into the community in a way that feels accessible, informative and practical.
“Whether someone walks away with a new idea for staying active, a resource they didn’t know existed, or simply some motivation to prioritize their health, that’s a win.”
The September event is the second installment of the 2026 “Wellness Matters” series, following June’s program focused on preventative wellness and healthy habits. A third session, centered on Community Wellness, is scheduled for Nov. 16.
The series is made possible through the support and partnership of St. Luke’s University Health Network and is free to attend.
Community members are encouraged to join CCEDC and St. Luke’s on Monday to learn, connect and discover resources that can support their health and well-being.
