A pair of Northern Lehigh School Board directors have been lauded for reaching significant milestones.

Christina Tinoco, senior training and outreach manager from the Pennsylvania School Boards Association, on Monday presented certificates to directors Gary Fedorcha and Donna Kulp for their years of service.

Tinoco said that on behalf of PSBA, they were excited to recognize Fedorcha (30 years), and Kulp (20 years) for their years of service.

She said that through PSBA’s Honor Roll of School Board Service Program, they recognize school directors who have reached important service milestones, beginning at five years of service and continuing at five-year intervals throughout their board tenure.

Tinoco said this program honors their ongoing commitment to public education and the communities that they serve.

“Serving on a school board is both an honor and a significant responsibility,” Tinoco said. “School directors devote countless hours to thoughtful decision making, planning for the future, overseeing district resources, and advocating for opportunities that help all students succeed.”

Tinoco added that the individuals who were being recognized have demonstrated exceptional dedication through their years of service.

“Their leadership, time, and commitment have helped shape educational experiences for students, supported educators and staff, and strengthened their school community,” she said. “On behalf of PSBA, I am honored to present these plagues to individuals whose service reflects the very best of public education leadership in Pennsylvania.”

Fedorcha expressed his gratitude.

“I would just really like to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to serve 30 years as a school board director,” Fedorcha said. “It’s quite an honor.”

Kulp said she agreed with Fedorcha.

“I can’t believe 20 years, I really didn’t keep track,” Kulp said. “I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, and it’s been a great thing to be on the board.”
