Northern Lehigh School Board Personnel
Northern Lehigh School Board on Monday approved the following personnel matters:
Resignations
• Lisa Martinez, paraprofessional, Northern Lehigh Middle School, effective the end of the working day on Aug. 10, after 22.5 years of service.
• Ashley Marlatt, licensed practical nurse, Slatington Elementary School, effective Aug. 14.
• Jennifer Vasquez, instructional paraprofessional, Peters Elementary, effective Aug. 24.
• Angela Everett, special education paraprofessional, Peters Elementary, effective Sept. 18.
Rescinded motions
• Denise Martinez, as licensed practical nurse, Peters Elementary, for the 2026-27 school year, as previously approved on the Aug. 10 board agenda.
• Amy Enders, as districtwide licensed practical nurse, for the 2026-2027 school year, as previously approved on the Aug. 10 board agenda.
• Christine Weston, as licensed practical nurse, Peters Elementary, effective Aug. 8, as previously approved on the Aug. 10 board agenda.
Salary adjustments
• Acknowledged that teachers Jonathan Potynski, from Step 5 Bachelors to Step 5 Bachelors + 24, and Kay Alberto, from Step 6 Bachelors, to Step 6 Masters, have completed the requirements per the collective bargaining agreement that would entitle them to a salary increase for the 2026-27 school year.
Status change
• Abigail Brossman, from professional employee to temporary professional employee, which was originally approved on the Aug. 10 board agenda.
Substitute
• Lily Wanamaker, clerical and paraprofessional; Stephanie Quier, cafeteria; and Heather Gengaro, paraprofessional, as substitute workers for the 2026-27 school year at the 2026-27 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
• Appoint Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link to appoint qualified personnel to vacant positions during the period of time from Sept. 14 through the next regularly scheduled board meeting.
After school program positions
• Robin Blocker, Sarah Krasenics, Andrea Arnold and Elizabeth Trantham, as paraprofessionals, at their individually approved hourly rates, to be funded through Title III for adult evening English as second language classes.
Stipend adjustment
• Kris Jimenez, from guard choreographer, $500, to guard choreographer, $200.
• Carissa Gurganus, from guard instructor, $350, to guard instructor, $650.
• Maisha Utterbach, from middle school Aevidum adviser, $1,545, to middle school Aevidum adviser (shared stipend), $773.
Cocurricular appointments
• Gabryella Wilder, freshman class adviser, $774.
• Kayla Diehl, middle school Aevidum adviser, shared stipend, $773.
Cocurricular reappointments, 2026-27 school year
• Samantha Lilly, high school yearbook, $3,091.
• Jon Prive, Chess Club, $210.
• Manuel Gonzalez, Spanish Club, $630.
Clerical/Classroom volunteers
