A Summit Hill man faces multiple charges after state police received a tip from a national child protection organization regarding the upload of child sexual abuse materials videos.

Fury J. Riccardi IV, 20, of East Hazard Street, was charged with five counts each of possession and dissemination of child sexual abuse materials, as well as criminal use of a communication facility.

He was arraigned by District Judge Beth Dodson Thursday afternoon and released on $250,000 unsecured bail. His preliminary hearing on the charges is scheduled for Sept. 23.

According to court papers, state police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in February about a Discord user uploading CSAM videos.

Five video files were provided by Discord, including one depicting a male child age 8 to 9 engaged in a sexual act with an adult male, court papers said.

Investigation led troopers to an East Hazard Street home, where they executed a search warrant for electronic devices there on Aug. 4. They spoke to Riccardi, who said he used Discord on multiple devices, court papers said.

Riccardi did not feel comfortable providing his passcode to unlock devices, and that he had seen CSAM matter, but it would have been deleted, court papers said. He told police the Discord account was old.

Police seized a desktop gaming tower, an iPhone, several hard drives and thumb drive for a full forensic audit.

Troopers found approximately 2,832 images and videos on Fury’s iPhone that depicted “apparent child pornography,” court papers said.

Another 24,800 images and videos of different individuals in various stages of undress as well as sexual acts and child erotica were also found, court papers said.
