State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following incidents:
• Brian Lucia, 39, of East Stroudsburg, is facing charges of risking a catastrophe after police were called to the Baymont at Wyndham, 116 Turtle Walk Lane, Hamilton Township, at 5:02 p.m. Aug. 23.
Police said they were summoned there for a report of a person breaking windows and setting fires at the location, and upon arrival confronted and detained Lucia. They said it was determined that he was under the influence of a controlled substance.
Police said he pulled the hotel fire alarm and threw a fire extinguisher through a hallway widow of the hotel before making his way to the intersection with Route 611, where he threw a wooden object at a passing vehicle.
• A 22-year-old Saylorsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 2:21 a.m. Aug. 22.
He was stopped in a 2018 Honda in the 100 block of Broad Street, Stroudsburg.
• A 21-year-old Kunkletown man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 1:56 a.m. Aug. 22.
He was stopped in a 1998 Ford Taurus for multiple Motor Vehicle Code violations at the intersection of Route 209 and Shafer’s School House Road, Stroud Township, and was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, for processing.
