The Schuylkill County Conservancy’s Annual Dinner Meeting will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. Sept. 13 from the R. Michael Fryer Conference Center at Penn State Schuylkill Campus, 101 Classroom Building, Schuylkill Haven.

“Porcupine Pat” McKinney, a member of the Schuylkill County Historical Society and the conservancy, will present “Schuylkill County Helped Build a Nation.”

From hosting the largest steam engine in the world to the purchase of the first automobile in America, Schuylkill County stands tall for its significant contributions to creating the nation.

All are invited to join in celebrating America 250 PA. Highlighted will be Pennsylvania’s firsts in the nation. Reservations are due by Sept. 4.
