State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:

• Tucker J. Hottes, 43, of Scranton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 7:06 a.m. July 29 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2023 Honda Civic southbound when he attempted to pass a vehicle by using the right shoulder of the road. He lost control of the car, which struck a rocky embankment and a road sign before coming to a halt, police said.

• Police said that Justin E. Hartman, 30, of Hallstead, fled the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 9:41 a.m. Aug. 15 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

They said he was driving a 2016 Nissan Altima northbound when he attempted to change lanes in front of a 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Katherine A. McGinn, 27, of Easton, after which the left side of the Altima struck the right side of the Trailblazer.

Police said Hartman then fled the scene.

The Trailblazer was able to be driven from the scene.

Police said McGinn and a passenger were uninjured.

• Paul M. Woody, 70, of Scotrun, had possible injuries after a two-vehicle crash at 3:53 Aug. 13 on Route 715 at its intersection with the Interstate 80 east off-ramp in Pocono Township.

Police said he did not require an emergency medical services from the scene.

They said the crash occurred as Dean S. Flowers Jr., 45, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 2017 Peterbilt when he attempted to move out of the way of an approaching ambulance and hit a 2015 Mercedes-Benz driven by Woody.

Police said the Peterbilt had minor damage, while the Mercedes had moderate damage.

• Antonio C. Polito, 21, of Kunkletown, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a two-vehicle crash at 8:15 p.m. Aug. 13 in a work zone on Interstate 80 in East Stroudsburg, police said.

Polito was driving a 2017 Hyundai eastbound when he failed to stop in time for slowed traffic and struck a 2015 Subaru Outback operated by Julia Guardo, 30, of Stroudsburg, according to police.

No injuries from the incident were reported.

• Two vehicles were damaged in a crash at 2:03 a.m. Aug. 14 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police said the crash occurred when a 2025 Lexus RX350 traveling south swerved to avoid hitting a piece of debris that was in the highway and struck a 2021 Mercedes-Benz, which traveled off the right side of the road and hit the berm.

The two drivers and an occupant in the Mercedes were transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Bartonsville, to be treated for suspected minor injuries, police said.

No one in the crash was identified in the report.
