State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported that Nathan Connely, 47, of Tamaqua, is facing a drug possession charge after they made a traffic stop at 11:57 p.m. Aug. 5.
Connely was stopped in a 2005 Toyota for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Route 209 in Tremont Township, after which he was found him to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.
A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Oct. 1, according to court papers.
In addition to the misdemeanor drug charge, he faces three summary traffic-related counts, including one for driving while his license is suspended or revoked, court papers say.
