State police at Stroudsburg - crashes

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:

• Donna M. Zeller, 79, of Reeders, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 2:31 p.m. July 29 at the intersection of Rout 209 and Hickory Valley Road, Hamilton Township, police said. She was uninjured in the crash.

Police said she was driving a 2011 Nissan Rogue when she swerved to avoid striking a vehicle in front of her. The Rogue traveled off the right side of the road, struck a stop sign and then hit a tree.

It then rolled backward and came to rest on Hickory Valley Road, police said.

• Darien J. Waltmyer, 20, of Saylorsburg, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 8:52 a.m. July 30 on Route 33 in Ross Township. He was uninjured in the crash.

Police said he was driving a 2018 Audi S4 when it traveled into the grassy berm and off a raised embankment, falling about 10 feet into a ditch and coming to rest perpendicular to the ground.

• Amanda D. Davis, 45, of Kunkletown, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 4:11 p.m. Aug. 20 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township, police said.

Neither Davis nor a male passenger was injured.

Police said Davis was driving a 2025 BMW I4 northbound when it hydroplaned while rounding a curve and struck a concrete barrier. The vehicle then rotated counterclockwise across both lanes and hit a guide rail.
