Lehigh Valley Balloon Fest set Aug. 28-29

One of the Lehigh Valley’s most beloved annual events is taking flight under a new name. The event formerly known as the Lehigh Valley Spooktacular Balloon Festival will return as the Lehigh Valley Balloon Fest, taking place Aug. 28-29, at Slatington Airport.

Guests can still expect the same breathtaking hot air balloons, balloon rides, launches, special shape balloons, evening balloon glows, spectacular Laser Light Show, explosive fireworks finales each night, food vendors, local artisans, rides, bounce houses, and family friendly entertainment that have made the event a regional tradition for the past seven years.

The move to late August marks an exciting new chapter for the festival, offering balloon enthusiasts a chance to celebrate the end of summer with a weekend filled with colorful balloons and evening entertainment.

“We are excited to welcome everyone back for another incredible year,” said Jerika Rathje, owner of Lehigh Valley Hot Air and festival organizer. “While the festival has a new name and new dates, our mission remains the same: to create an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages while showcasing the beauty and excitement of hot air balloons. Guests can expect the same amazing balloons, the same incredible nighttime show, and the same welcoming atmosphere that has made this event a yearly tradition for so many.”

Since its founding, the festival has attracted visitors from throughout Pennsylvania and neighboring states, becoming one of the region’s premier ballooning events. Visit www.BalloonFestPA.com for information.
