Tamaqua Area School Board approved several personnel moves at their meeting Tuesday night:
• Accepted the resignation of Dana Ayers, high school graphic arts teacher, at a separation date to be determined with the superintendent.
• Hired several teachers, including Paige Triano of Brockton, elementary teacher at $50,721, Hannah Mordaunt, of Albrightsville, as an elementary special education teacher at $63,573, and Emma Barrell of Hellertown, for graphics arts teacher at high school, at $50,221.
• Rescinded the motion of May 12 hiring Ashley C. Brennan as an elementary teacher and also removed her from the substitute teacher list for this school year.
• Approved Nicole Leary of Andreas, as substitute guest teacher, and Richard Beltz of Tamaqua as substitute guest teacher. Gina Morgan and Abby Shumgart were approved as mentors.
• Jay Daubert was approved as middle school specials department chairperson, and the board rescinded the motion of D. Ayers serving as high school yearbook adviser, and E. Barrell will now serve as the adviser.
• Approved Leah Black of Nesquehoning and Ann Frohnheiser of Tamaqua as adult game workers, and approved the retirement of Debra Skripnek as full-time custodian, effective Aug. 18.
