Tamaqua police cited Jomayra Maisonet, 30, of Coaldale, with public drunkenness, harassment and disorderly conduct following incidents that occurred Aug. 9 on the 100 block of East Early Avenue in Coaldale.
Police said they were called to the home at 7:53 p.m. for a domestic dispute and talked to Maisonet, who had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. She told them that she and a man had gotten into a verbal argument and he took her phone.
The two were told to leave each other alone. As police were leaving, they heard the two arguing again, and returned to tell Maisonet to leave if she felt unsafe.
At 9:37 p.m., police were again dispatched to the home, and found Maisonet outside crying and screaming. She claimed that the man punched her but police found no marks or bruises. The man, however, had scratches on his back but said he did not want to press charges.
Police said Maisonet continued yelling and screaming and caused a disturbance in the middle of the street. She was taken into custody, charged and released when she became sober, police said.
