Carbon County Commissioners acted on the following items last week:

• Termination of a nonexclusive license agreement for the use of the county parking lot for departures and arrivals of a horse-drawn carriage. Kyle S. Hoppes, dba Crystal View Carriage Services, made the request. Effective June 1, 2026.

• An agreement with Jim Thorpe for a permit to host the Heritage Festival at Mauch Chunk Lake Park, allowing for the submission of an insurance certificate.

• A resolution honoring Conner McCauley, of Weatherly, a member of Boy Scout Troop 25, of White Haven, for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. His project was an after-hours donation box for supplies for the Carbon County Animal Shelter.
