Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel moves Monday:

Resignations

• Angie Thomas from her position as special education paraprofessional at Peters Elementary School, effective July 17.

• Rachel Formichelli from her position as a classroom paraprofessional at Peters Elementary School, effective July 6.

• Ziad Haddad from his position as a social studies teacher at the Middle School, effective July 16.

• Lauren Beitler from her position as a licensed practical nurse at Peters Elementary, effective Aug. 3.

• Raysa Gonzalez from her position as a district-wide English as a second language (ESL) paraprofessional, effective Aug. 3.

Christine Weston from her position as a licensed practical nurse at Peters Elementary, effective Aug. 8.

Transfers

The board voted to accept the following personnel transfers; all have no change in salary and all are effective Aug. 18:

• Jonathan Potynski from high school secondary math teacher to middle school secondary math and social studies teacher.

• Marcy Dum from high school and Slatington Elementary ESL teacher to middle school ESL/Spanish teacher (pending certification).

• Mary Frank from high school and middle school art teacher to middle school art teacher.

• Amy Brown from Slatington Elementary School instructional paraprofessional to Peters Elementary School instructional paraprofessional.

• Alice Deppe high school cook’s helper to Slatington Elementary cook’s helper.

• Lisa Martinez from middle school clerical paraprofessional to middle school classroom paraprofessional l; salary $22.72 per hour.

Appointments

• Abigail Brossman, Slatington Elementary ESL teacher at a salary of $69,275.

• Matthew Fortsch, temporary professional employee, to serve as a secondary business education teacher at a salary of $70,375.

• Denise Martinez, licensed practical nurse at Peters Elementary at a salary of $29.13 per hour, pending paperwork.

• Jodi Shaw, high school cook’s helper at a salary of $15.40 per hour.

• Amy Enders, licensed practical nurse district-wide, at a salary of $29.13 per hour, pending paperwork.

• Jacob Everitt, summertime maintenance/custodial helper at a rate of $12.50 per hour, pending paperwork.

• Continue the employment of Mary Roberts and Alex Schwab as district-wide permanent substitute teachers for the 2026-27 school year. They will be paid a daily rate of $150 and will receive district health benefits according to the Affordable Care Act regulations, with co-payment amounts equivalent to that of district personnel.

• Dr. Nicole Sully and Dr. Amy Gourniak of Parkland Family Health Center as school physicians for the 2026-27 school year. The fee for grade level physicals will be $20 per physical needed. Consultant services will be provided at no charge.

• Dr. Karen Lehman DDS of Walnutport Dental Center as the school dentist for the 2026-27 school year at the quoted fee of $2 per dental exam needed.

• Middle school administrative detention supervisors for 2026-27, Debra Knerr and Robin Blocker as administrative detention supervisors in the middle school. Salary will be $20 per hour worked.

• Christopher McCarty as administrative detention supervisor in the high school. Salary will be $20 per hour worked.
