A benefit for a member of Bikers Against Cop Killers will be held in Weissport.

The Basket Raffle Benefit for B.A.C.K. member Jason “Riggs” Merkel will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 15 at the Boatyard Bar and Grill.

The Bikers Against Cop Killers Mountain Chapter also will host a Poker Run for Riggs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Merkel was involved in a motorcycle crash in May after a distracted driver rear-ended him.

Merkel has been involved in countless acts of community service in his time as a member of B.A.C.K. and has been giving back to the surrounding communities.

His B.A.C.K. family is asking for donations as Merkel and his family are going through some financial struggles as he has been out of work since the crash.
