Carbon County commissioners encouraged residents to get out to the county fair this week before it ends this weekend.
Commissioner Wayne Nothstein pointed out that the 4-H auction is this Saturday at 1 p.m.
“We certainly ask our businesses and residents to get out, celebrate and honor these kids that are active in the 4-H program for their time and commitment,” he said.
“I know it looks like rain, but they did invent this thing called an umbrella,” Nothstein joked.
The fair, which is celebrating 250 Years of Freedom, Family and Fairs this year, is located on Little Gap Road in Palmerton. Admission is $7 and parking is free.
