The 27th annual Carbon County Fair runs Monday through Saturday at the Carbon County Fairgrounds, 3285 Little Gap Road, Palmerton.

Hours are 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is $7 every day for those age 6 years and older. Parking is free.

Monday

• Opening ceremony at 5 p.m. The ceremony features the crowning of the new Carbon County Fair Queen and her court, and presentation of the Volunteer of the Year and the Friend of the Fair awards.

• Isaac Cole will perform at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.

• Emerald Dragon Karate will be on hand at 7 p.m. in the Arena.

• Pyro Joe will end the evening with a fireworks spectacular at 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday

Senior Citizens Day

• Patriotic parade in celebration of America 250 scheduled for 5 p.m. Community organizations are invited to join in the fun by walking in the parade. The appearance of a boat or two from the recent regatta is also planned. There will also be a vendor patriotic decorating contest, and vendors can earn credit toward their vendor space for the 2027 fair. In addition, there will be patriotic decorations throughout the grounds, and many of the exhibitor items in the display tents will have a patriotic theme.

• The Mudflaps performs at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.

• Micro Wrestling will hit the mat at 6 p.m. in the Arena.

• Senior Citizens Day drawing will be held at 8 p.m.

Wednesday

Children’s Day

• Lots of special activities for the kids with special rates on wristbands, like Touch a Truck event, Free Rock Painting for Kids sponsored by Brooks Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. Highland Cow snuggling and more.

• Children can ride from 5 to 10 p.m. with a $20 wristband (On other days, a wristband costs $25).

• Little Miss Patriotic Contest will be held at 4 p.m.

• At 6:30 p.m., there will be special drawing for prizes, including six bicycles and electronics. Tickets are available 30 minutes prior to drawing.

• Guests include Pennsylvania State Police, East Penn Fire Company with a fire truck, Lehighton Ambulance offering first aid and Robbie’s Balloons & More.

• Junk Car Race at 7 p.m. in the Main Arena. Cost is $10.

• Marie Levin — Reba McEntire impersonator and Palmerton native, will perform at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.

Thursday

Give Back Day (Sponsored by Mauch Chunk Trust)

• Free admission will be given to the first 150 visitors who bring nonperishable food items.

• The Barnyard Olympics will be he held at 5:30 p.m.

• Demo Derby at 7 p.m. in the Arena. Cost is $10.

• Ole 97, a Johnny Cash tribute band, will perform at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.

Friday

• Line Dancing with Aleah with lessons from 7-8 p.m. and requests from 8-10 p.m. in the Arena.

• Mystery City will perform at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.

Saturday

• Sounds of Southern Gospel with Carol Sexton will perform at 2:30 and 4 p.m. on the Main Stage.

• Richie & The High Street Rockers will perform at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.

• Garden Tractor Pull in the Small Arena at 3 p.m.

• Small Car Shootout at 6 p.m. in the Large Arena. Cost is $10.

Other

• Other attractions on the Midway include Betsy Ross & John Strolling, Boston Bachert with juggling and more (two shows daily and three shows on Saturday), and Chainsaw Carving by Bearly Get’N By. Bearly Gettin’ will have woodcarving demonstrations daily.

• Don’t forget to stop by the craft and vegetable exhibits and be sure to visit the animals.

• The annual livestock auction will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday.
