Fruity Pebbles, lemon cake, cotton candy and cherry Sprite were among the flavors of products offered at Cannafest at the West End Fairgrounds recently.

“I come every year for the good vibes, good food and good vendors,” said Nyj Medina, Brooklyn. Medina purchased copper bracelets good for healing the body.

If you wanted to be a bit more hands on you could “Build a Bong” through 3D printing.

Brandon Faulconbridge said, “It’s a nice alternative to glassware. It started as a novelty idea. You have the interchangeability and pick and choose how many bowls you want on your bong, one or two.”

Stew Nichols traveled from Florida to sell his products.

Nichols explained that in 2018 the Farm Bill made hemp legal, which has THC in it and cannabinoids are part of THC therefore enabling sales of these items.

Nichols will go to Oklahoma next and travels about 30 weeks of the year selling his wares.

Kratom in many forms, including tinctures and raw powder were available at Neil Felver’s, Williamsport, booth.

“There are no synthetics in the Kratom we offer. We try to sell to people that need help with pain, recovery or need energy. Initially, we started to help out a family member, and it turned into a business. I’ve seen the benefits of Kratom firsthand and want to spread awareness, so that people seek out natural remedies.”

Krystal Taglieber, of Douglasville, had an array of brightly colored tie-dyes for sale, each handmade by her. Her best friend‘s daughter had neuroblastoma and she decided to start a business to raise funds for her, aptly called “Blasted Dyes.”

Now 9 years old, she has been cancer free for two years and funds continue to be raised for the fight against childhood cancer.

A variety of other items, such as bags and clothing and food were for sale throughout the fairgrounds.

Pocono local Joey Lannigan was on stage playing covers and a few originals to keep everyone entertained.
