Franklin Township has granted a contract for its tar and chip road program.

At a special meeting on Monday, township supervisors unanimously awarded the bid to AMS Asphalt Maintenance Solutions LLC in the amount of $171,698.

Pocono Spray Patching also turned in a bid for $191,043.

The work is as follows:

• Indian Hill Road, from Fairyland Road north for 6,350 feet.

• Indian Hill Road, from Overlook Drive to Long Run Road.

• Overlook Drive, from Fairyland Road to Indian Hill Road.

• Reber Street, from Main Street east for 1,200 feet.

• Pine Drive, from Reber Street to Reber Street.

• Franklin Township Fire Company entrance, from Fairyland Road north for 205 feet.

• Pohopoco Drive, from Harrity Road to the township line.
