Irene and Dave Remmel of Jim Thorpe are celebrating 50 years of marriage today.

They were married on July 31, 1976 during the Bicentennial. So now it’s AMERICA 250 and Reenie and Stick 50.

They are the children of Gloria Remmel and the late Willard Remmel; and the late Charlotte and Marvin Kemmerle.

They have two sons, Mark and Ross; and are the proud grandparents of Benjamin and Annaliese.

Throughout the years, the couple has learned to count their blessings.
