Anthracite’s Little League 9U all-stars earned a walk-off win over Pioneer Construction during a recent tournament in Plains.

Trailing by a run in the sixth inning, Anthracite pushed across a pair of runs to pull out a 6-5 victory and advance to Sunday’s championship game.

Landon Shook’s ground out plated the tying run, while Zander Stefanick delivered an RBI double to bring home the winning tally.

Stefanick finished the contest with three hits, and Ryker Schmitt ended with two. Hudson Jones added a run-scoring triple.

Stefanick also gained the pitching win, tossing three and one-third innings of relief. He allowed two hits and one run while striking out eight.

The winners took advantage of 11 walks, and stole 12 bases.
