July 23, 2010 — Tamaqua’s Connor Hartung blasts a three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning to rally the West All-Stars to a 10-9 victory over the East in the annual Panther Valley Little League Tournament 11-12 All-Star game at Jim Thorpe. The contest pitted players from Tamaqua Blue and Lansford against their counterparts from Franklin Township and Jim Thorpe Red. Hartung also homers earlier in the contest and finishes with five RBIs. The winners also receive a key double from Lansford’s Nick Mazzie. For the East, Wyatt Clements of FT collects three hits, one a three-run homer. Thorpe’s K.J. Snerr and Ryan Malarkey both add a pair of hits.
