July 18, 2003 — Marian head football coach Stan Dakosty is inducted into the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. The 26-year mentor of the Colts, with a record of 218-85-3, is one of 10 members of the Class of 2003 who are enshrined. The ceremony is part of the festivities surrounding the Big 33 Football Classic. Dakosty was nominated for the honor by Northern Lehigh mentor Jim Tkach and is presented for induction by his son Stan Jr., who offers an emotional message as part of the afternoon celebration.
