Facing a 5-3 deficit, the winners tally four times in the fourth and then hold on for the triumph. Dave Piccin adds a pair of hits and a run for Tamaqua, while Garry Schmauch doubles and scores two runs. Gene Boyle, Fran’s brother, also chips in with a double and a run. Garry Kehl earns the pitching win, and Glenn Behr contributes a hit and a run.
