The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, weather permitting:

Carbon County

• Towamensing Township: Spruce Hollow Road between Route 209 and Hahns Dairy Road, road will be closed and detoured for base repair work. Detour will utilize Route 209, Silver Spring Road, Kunkletown Road, and Hahns Dairy Road, through 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday.

Monroe County

•Polk Township: Route 534 between Jonas Road and Merwill, daytime lane restrictions 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday.

• Eldred Township: Kunkletown Road between Carbon County line and Ross Township line, daytime lane restrictions 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday.

•Hamilton and Stroud Townships: Route 209 North between Route 33 and Interstate 80, daytime lane restriction 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.

•Eldred and Ross Townships: Upper Smith Gap Road between Chestnut Ridge Drive and Mount Eaton Road, daytime lane restrictions 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday to Friday.
