Officers and members of the Gewehr-Shubeck-Martin-Nesterak American Legion Post, Coaldale, held ceremonies dedicating a new flagpole in honor of two past members of the post, James B. Gould and Dennis J. Danchak.

Mrs. Anna Danchak and Mrs. Nancy Gould, mothers of the two honored men, took part in the ceremony.

Post commander James Arner dedicated the flagpole and unveiled an accompanying bronze plaque bearing the names of Danchak and Gould, who served America at the time of war, yielding their last full measure of devotion.

Other participants included Marvin J. Evans, master of ceremonies, Thomas Sopko, post chaplain, and William Evans, 13th District commander.
