Tamaqua police log
Tamaqua police reported the following incidents:
• Police cited Ryanne Brown, 33, of Coaldale, with harassment and disorderly conduct following a 5:45 p.m. April 20 incident.
According to police, officers were dispatched to a disturbance on First Street in Coaldale, which Tamaqua police patrol. Witnesses said Brown began yelling and screaming when a vehicle parked on a public street in front of her house.
Officers arrived to find Brown yelling and calling her neighbors names.
Police asked her to stop but she refused.
• Police said Marissa Garcia, 32, of Tamaqua, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a 1:20 a.m. April 21 incident.
Police said they were on Biddle Street when they spotted Garcia behind the wheel of a running vehicle parked in a grass area by the cemetery. Officers spoke to Garcia, whom they said appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance based on her gestures and speech.
She failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.
Officers transported her to St. Luke’s Miners Campus for a blood draw, which Garcia refused. Based on her refusal, she was charged.
• Police charged a Scranton woman with disorderly conduct after she refused to leave St. Luke’s Miners Campus in Coaldale on April 25.
According to police, Marley Geusic, 37, was transported to the hospital following an incident in Coaldale.
Police said Geusic refused treatment and signed discharge papers. After she did so, police said, Geusic exited the hospital, walked around its perimeter and returned. Officers said she caused a disturbance and refused to leave.
• Less than an hour after being served with an emergency Protection from Abuse Order, a Tamaqua man broke into the home of the woman who filed it against him, police said. The man was not named.
