All are invited to celebrate, connect and make history at Schuylkill County’s America250 Parade and Festival Celebration.
The parade, which planners expect will be county’s largest, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 27 in downtown Pottsville.
The Schuylkill County 250th Celebration Parade Committee is inviting all 67 municipalities, along with school districts, fire companies, businesses, nonprofit organizations and civic groups to participate in the historic event.
Each town, organization and group is encouraged to create a float.
The America250 birthday party will be held from noon to 5 p.m. from Alvernia University’s Pottsville CollegeTowne, 500 Progress Ave., Pottsville. It will feature food trucks, local vendors, live music, entertainment and family-friendly fun.
Participants are encouraged to register early to secure their place in the parade lineup. To confirm participation, contact schuylkill250th@gmail.com or register through the America250PA Schuylkill County Facebook page.
The committee is asking all to attend and wear red, white and blue.
