Northern Lehigh School Board — personnel
Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters on Monday:
Resignations
• Retirement resignation for Patricia Utsch, cooks helper, Northern Lehigh High School, effective Jan. 4, 2027, after nine years of service.
• Lisa Hoever, district wide permanent substitute, effective April 1.
• Jacqueline Easton, emotional support paraprofessional, Northern Lehigh Middle School, effective April 24.
Appointments
• Megan Farkas, temporary professional employee, high school special education teacher, $51,850 prorate, effective March 18.
• Matthew Peitzman, professional employee, high school technology education teacher, $73,275 prorated, effective May 26.
Substitutes
• Zachary Cinicola and Mary Roberts as district wide permanent substitute teachers for the 2025-2026 school year, with employees paid a daily per diem rate of $150, and will receive district health benefits according to the Affordable Care Act regulations.
• Renewed the appointments of substitute teachers Madelyn Mack — college student substitute, and Nadine Tomkins, PK-4, for the 2025-26 school year at the 2025-26 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
Salary adjustment
• Acknowledged that teacher Kay Solderitch, has completed the requirements per the Collective Bargaining Agreement that would entitle her to a retroactive full-year salary increase.
STEAM Camp positions
• Jennifer Butz, director, $2,835; Timothy Weaber, coordinator, education foundation direct pay; Tamara Stubits, Kori Dibilio, Justin Fritz, and Michelle Siesko, instructors, $1,575 each.
Also, Jessica Jones, paraprofessional, $19.16 per hour; Tracy Hoffman, nurse, $1,225, to be funded through the Northern Lehigh Education Foundation. Directors Gary Fedorcha and Timothy Weaber both abstained from the vote.
High school musical
• Amanda Haag, music director, $1,250; Doug Hunsicker, set construction, $3,000, as independent contractors for the 2025-26 musical season.
• Amend the independent contractor amount for the 2025-26 musical season approved on Feb. 9 for Marcell McKenzie from $500 to $1,250.
Elementary Summer Band Camp
• Tuition fee of $30 per student for a one-week elementary summer band program, as well as a stipend for summer band program director Steven Jonkman, which will be equal to the amount collected for student participation, but will not exceed $1,000.
The summer elementary band program will run Aug. 10-14.
Bus driver/aide
• Elijah Mazzola (driver), from Krise Transportation, to transport district students for the 2025-26 school year.
