State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• Ethan H. Grube, 24, of Kunkletown, was uninjured in a crash at 12:06 p.m. Feb. 18 at the intersection of Route 115 and Anchorage Road, Ross Township.

Police said it occurred when an unknown vehicle ran a stop sign at the intersection.

Grube, driving a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta south on Route 115, maneuvered to the right to avoid the other vehicle and the car struck a roadside ditch.

Police said the unknown vehicle, a white sedan or SUV, left the scene, while the Jetta had to be towed from it.

• The driver of a vehicle that was involved in a crash at 7:43 a.m. March 3 on the Palmerton exit ramp of Route 248 in East Penn Township was uninjured but issued a warning for failure to drive at a safe speed.

Police did not identify the driver of the 2018 Nissan Rogue, or the driver’s residence, but said the vehicle was westbound when it slid on black ice, traveled off both lanes and hit a guide rail.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Tiffany N. Brazezicke, 25, of Albrightsville, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 5:47 p.m. March 3 on Scenic Drive, Polk Township.

Police said she was driving a 2017 Hyundai Tucson too fast for wet and rainy conditions when it lost traction while she negotiated a left-hand curve. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility pole.

Brazezicke refused medical attention at the scene.

She was warned for failure to drive at a safe speed, according to police.
