A McAdoo woman was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison on attempted homicide charges after state police said she fired a gun at her neighbor just before 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Jennifer Villa, 51, was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison after failing to post $500,000 cash bail.

According to state police at Frackville, the incident unfurled on East Blaine Street following a fight between Villa’s husband and a 43-year-old neighbor. Police said Villa retrieved a gun from her home and began shooting at the other man.

According to police, Villa shot two rounds at the man and one round at the man’s door.

Villa is charged with criminal attempt/criminal homicide, simple assault, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, terroristic threats and discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure.
